The Client: Tourism Council of Bhutan
Under the Ministry of Trade and Industry the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) is globally in charge of planning and developing the national tourism policy through a wide range of responsibilities.
The Challenge:
To implement a press relation program that will reinforce destination awareness, familiarize the destination towards professionals and position Bhutan as a competitive and high end value country in the international tourism arena.
The Solution:
Eyes2market Europe took in charge the organization of 2 activities:
- Arranging B2B appointments to secure a better return on investment of TCB´s ITB participation. Further to that planning of an event for media, travel agents and product managers at the Bhutan booth where TCB launched it's new logo.
- The organization of a trade workshop and press lunch in Paris where the TCB welcomed a large range of tourism professionals to present this beautiful country.
The Result:
In Germany and France, many tour operators not yet programming Bhutan have shown a real interest in the destination. Both activities generated press releases in the trade press and created optimistic BtoB relations. The first steps for raising awareness and interest on both markets have been successfully established.
